St. Francis of Assisi 2010 Lenten Series
All programs and suppers will be held in the Parish Hall and begin at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, February 24 - An Outreach Primer, Rev. B. Massey Gentry
Father Massey will discuss our call as Christians to reach out beyond the physical confines of the church
to those in need. He will also discuss models through which outreach is done in other parishes and dioceses.

Wednesday, March 3 - Council on Aging of NW Florida, John Clark
The Council on Aging of NW Florida serves frail elders and their caregivers in Escambia and Santa Rosa
counties. Programs include meals on wheels, adult day care, caregiver education and support groups and
other services designed to help elders remain independent in their own homes. Presentation will include
an overview of those services and what individuals and groups can do to help elders in need.

Wednesday, March 10 - How Katrina Changed a Parish's View of Outreach , Rev. Henry L. Hudson
The Reverend Henry L. Hudson of Trinity Episcopal Church in New Orleans' Garden District will tell Trinity's
outreach story and how his parish reached out to the community in a time of urgent need.

Wednesday, March 17 - Interfaith Ministries/Good Samaritan Clinic, Shirley Cornett - Executive Director
St. Francis was among the churches who first supported and continue to support Interfaith Ministries and
the Good Samaritan Clinic. Interfaith Ministries help underprivileged Santa Rosa County residents with their
basic needs, while Good Samaritan Clinic offers many crucial medical services to the working uninsured of
Santa Rosa County who meet income guidelines as determined by the State of Florida.

Wednesday, March 24 - Loaves and Fishes, Micah Danielson
St. Francis has a long and rich history with Loaves and Fishes. Our ECW has been extremely generous to
the organization. Many in our Parish volunteer on a regular basis. The prayers, financial support, and
volunteers from ECW help support Loaves and Fishes to feed the hungry, clothe the needy and house the homeless.
